Lately, I’ve been thinking about workplace relationships and leadership styles.

I’ve had managers, and I’ve been a manager myself, so I’ve seen both sides.

When we talk about leadership styles, we often recall the textbook terms: authoritarian, democratic, liberal, partner-oriented, and so on. But isn’t a leader’s style primarily shaped by who they are as a person?🤔

I’m almost certain that a tyrant will never be a democratic leader, and a control freak will never become a liberal one🙄

Finding new friends through work is a true gift.

Books often say that friendship between a leader and team members is a high-risk zone. Yet, in my experience, such relationships can create incredibly strong teams - built on shared responsibility, mutual inspiration, and a focus on results.

In such teams, people don’t look for someone to blame - they fix mistakes, learn, and move forward together🚀

And by the way, I’m quite sure that starting a business with existing friends is rarely a good idea 🚩 but finding new friends through work is a true gift - it means you’ve built something deeper than just results.

I’m also genuinely happy that even after our professional paths separated, we’ve managed to keep our friendship. Because, in the end, that company didn’t just shape professionals - it shaped people🤝

How do you approach workplace relationships? Do you see this as an important part of leadership and teamwork?
